Seasonal Freshness: What are the Best Makeup Palettes for Early Spring
Makeup Beauty - Palettes

Spring is a time to try new things and new colors to get out of the blahs of the cold, winter months.  As the breezes become warmer, the birds begin chirping, and the wildflowers start growing, new and exciting makeup palettes are being created.

Leave the winter blahs behind and start fresh by trying some fresh new colors developed especially for you!  2010 is being known as the “season for softness.”  The colors are soft and natural, such as baby violet blush and natural or sandy beige colors for the lips.

This spring, matte is in.  Pair up your natural lips with sultry eyes.  Lilac is a great color for the lids.  Pearly sheen for the temples will give your face a rosy glow, with a look of innocence.   Scatter touches of iridescence with powder or cream on the high points of your face.  This includes your cheekbones and bridge of your nose.  This is just one suggestion of many more to come.  Makeup artists all around the world are creating unique spring palettes that will make you look fabulous and make you feel beautiful.

Many of the palettes being created are including glosses and lipsticks in candy pink, violet, shimmery nude, coral and sheer burgundy.  While the lips are toning it down, the eyes are more colorful and vibrant, with colors like lagoon-green, sky blue and peach.   Foundations are matte and lightweight.  Cheek colors seem to be on the rosy side.

Lipsticks

Lightweight matte is in this spring.  It has a smooth finish and is comfortable.  The colors chosen this year, such as the colors mentioned above are bringing new meaning to the word matte!   For a brighter look for this spring, try out candy pink and vibrant coral in the matte formula.

Eye Makeup

To go along with the vibrant, yet natural lip look, try a shimmering pastel shadow with a dark eye liner.  This will help your lips to look soft and fresh, which is what spring is all about.  For a more vibrant look, try teal green and sky blue.  They look great fanned out over the entire lid.  They will fade away at the brow.   If pastel is not dramatic enough for you, use these colors as highlights for darker flashes of color.  Other colors that are popular are simple warm grays, natural beiges, and iridescent neutrals.  It really is in who you are and what makes you feel beautiful.

Foundation, Powders, and Blush

Foundation is the basis for any makeup.  Foundation should match your skin type as best as possible.  Foundation does not need to be applied all over; however, it is okay to do for a more finished look.  Rosy warmth is in.  Pink is a universal and flattering look!

It seems most of the popular makeup artists this spring are focusing on the natural look.  Sheer and matte is what their makeup palettes are geared towards.  Yet, they also find a way to include a more dramatic look by adding in a darker shade of eyeliner for more definition.
